People can get a 20 percent discount through December 31 on seven American Red Cross online training courses under a “Friends and Family” holiday promotion announced today.

This 20 percent discount offer covers seven online courses, all priced between $25 - $50 per course:

  • Family First Aid and CPR: Helps participants be ready for any type of emergency a family might encounter before advanced medical personnel arrives. This course is available in three versions: adults; infants and children (pediatric); and both adults and pediatric. Courses do not provide CPR certification.
  • Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto-Injector: Teaches participants how to recognize and respond to a severe allergic reaction, including administering an epinephrine auto-injector.
  • First Aid, Health and Safety for Coaches: Provides an overview of first aid and "best practices" for many first aid situations encountered by coaches and athletic instructors. Developed jointly with the National Federation of State High School Associations.
  • Bloodborne Pathogens Training: Teaches participants how bloodborne pathogens are spread and how to help prevent exposure incidents. A separate course tailored specifically for tattoo artists is also part of the “Friends and Family” offer.

Courses purchased with this promotion will be accessible for two years after date of purchase. The Red Cross is encouraging people to share the coupon code so that communities can be safer and better prepared in the event of emergencies.
