A Lesson in Giving

Mahoning Valley Red Cross - Lesson in Giving Students
The Red Cross of the Mahoning Valley thanks all the local schools which collected Disaster Relief funds following Hurricane Sandy.

Within the Mahoning Valley community, the outpouring of financial support of Red Cross relief efforts following Hurricane Sandy was truly tremendous. Many groups, organizations and individuals participated in various local fundraising drives, including the children within several school districts in the Mahoning Valley area. The Red Cross of the Mahoning Valley sincerely thanks not only the students who donated so generously, but also the teachers, parents and administrators who gave the students the opportunity to learn the importance and discover the rewards of helping others in a time of need.

Pictured above are some of the elementary school children from South Range Elementary School as they present their donations to Karen Conklin, Chapter Executive of the American Red Cross of the Mahoning Valley.
