The Red Cross is working with 10 people – nine adults and one child – in six families after a fire overnight on State Street in Bridgeport. While most of the families were able to return to their homes or find alternate arrangements for housing, the Red Cross provided the families disaster recovery information. Additionally, one family of three – two adults and one child – received help with emergency food and clothing needs. The child was provided a stuffed toy as well.
American Red Cross disaster assistance is free of charge, a gift made possible by generous donations and the work of volunteers.
