American Red Cross Provides Assistance at Hinsdale Fire

CONCORD, NH, April 22, 2013 — American Red Cross New Hampshire’s Disaster Action Team Volunteers have met with clients following a fire at 27 Plain Road in Hinsdale today. John Keppler and Melody Actouka provided three adults immediate financial assistance for food, clothing, shoes and bed linens. Volunteers also assisted with emotional support and referrals to other partnering agencies who can assist with long-term recovery.

The American Red Cross Disaster Action Teams (DAT) are groups of local volunteers located throughout the state that are specially trained to provide disaster relief and emotional comfort. These volunteers are available to respond at any time of day or night to disasters in their communities or surrounding towns.
