American Red Cross Providing Aid to Families Affected by Fire

CONCORD, NH December 28, 2012 — The Red Cross of New Hampshire Disaster Action Team assisted two families affected by a multi-unit apartment fire at 185 Loudon Road in Concord earlier today. In total, three adults and two children ages 8 and 13 were displaced. A family cat was found safe. American Red Cross has provided immediate financial assistance for clothing, food and lodging.

The American Red Cross Disaster Action Teams (DAT) are groups of local volunteers located throughout the state that are specially trained to provide disaster relief and emotional comfort. These volunteers are available to respond at any time of day or night to disasters in their communities or surrounding towns.
