SANTA ANA, Calif. – While military deployments and hospital stays may keep many of our nation’s heroes away from their families this holiday season, from now until Dec. 7, the Red Cross invites the public to show their support by sending words of encouragement, gratitude and cheer.
“It just takes a moment to sign a card to share your appreciation for the sacrifices members of the military community make,” said Suzanne Fradette, board chair of the American Red Cross of Orange County, “You say thanks, we’ll do the rest.”
Each card received is screened for hazardous materials by Pitney Bowes, then reviewed and sorted by Red Cross volunteers before being delivered to service members, veterans and their families.

Help people affected by disasters by donating to American Red Cross Disaster Relief. On those rare occasions when donations exceed Red Cross expenses for a specific disaster, contributions are used to prepare for and serve victims of other disasters.
