You can #help1family who has lost everything to a disaster by participating in the 2016 Red Cross Giving Day, a one-day fundraising campaign supporting the work of the Red Cross and its mission to help people in communities across the country in need of emergency support.

Sign up to be a Giving Day Social Ambassador now and help spread the word about families who need Red Cross services after a home fire or other emergency. Giving Day Social Ambassadors have a simple, yet important mission – spread the word about Giving Day to your social media networks. As an Ambassador, you will receive a weekly information you can share with your friends and family to inspire others to get involved with Giving Day.

Every year, the Red Cross responds to nearly 66,000 disasters nationwide – most of them home fires – where a family has lost everything; the roof over their heads, their clothes and their most cherished possessions. It takes just $88.50* to support a family of three with basic essentials for one day following a disaster. A gift to our one-day awareness effort can provide urgent relief like a day’s worth of food, plus blankets and other essentials.
