Tropical Depression Debby is waning, but it has left flooding, wind damage and a number of people without shelter.

While the storm continued to creep north through Florida early Wednesday, Katie McLaughlin left her desk at the Betty R. Plotkin Red Cross Center in Camarillo to go home to pack for a 7 a.m. flight to Gainesville, Fla.
