Cambridge library takes a step into Red Cross past

History came alive at the Cambridge Public Library on Nov. 15, as Clara Barton stopped by to talk about how her life and the American Red Cross.

Ok, it was an actress playing Clara Barton, founder of the American Red Cross. But there, the actress shared interesting tidbits from Barton’s life, and explained how she established the organization.

The American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts lent historical items, like clothing and books, which will be on display at the library until Dec. 1.
