Community Transportation Receives Two News Vans

Columbus
The American Red Cross believes that one’s inability to drive themselves shouldn't prevent them from living independently in their own homes. That’s why we provide safe, reliable and timely transportation for seniors, and others in Franklin County.

The Community Transportation Program took delivery of two new wheelchair accessible minivans on May 1. These vehicles were acquired through the Ohio Specialized Transportation Program Grant and will each provide an estimated 2,000 trips and travel more than 30,000 miles annually! During the month of April, CTP completed 1,243 one-way trips for 262 clients.

The Community Transportation Program provides thousands of seniors and disabled persons with trips to their medical appointments and lifesaving treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and dialysis.
