The American Red Cross Chestnut Ridge Chapter hosted the 26th Annual Holiday Splendor Gala at the Ramada Inn Greensburg on Thursday, December 1, 2016. Close to 300 people attended the event, which honored David Arnold, retired Kennametal Vice President and Chief Technical Officer, for his longtime support of the American Red Cross.
“Dave is a genuine good neighbor and community leader,” noted Red Cross Chestnut Ridge Executive Director Dana Bauer. “His thoughtful leadership, guidance, and willingness to always assist others in need makes him a true role model in our community.”
Arnold served on the local Red Cross board from 2004 through 2014. His leadership was instrumental during the merger of local Red Cross Chapters and he was a strong force in the Chapter’s fundraising efforts. In addition to his involvement with the Red Cross, Arnold currently sits on the boards of the Latrobe Foundation, the Adams Memorial Library, and the Greater Latrobe Partners in Education Foundation.
Bauer added, “Dave embraces challenges and identifies opportunities to overcome those challenges. Our organization and local chapter have benefitted greatly from Dave’s steadfast advocacy and generosity to our mission”
In addition to honoring Arnold, the evening featured entertainment by Told Ya So!, as well as a silent and live auction.
