Eleanor Ahearn serves as a role model and inspiration for Red Cross staff and volunteers alike.

Following her career in the fashion industry, Eleanor Ahearn decided to become a Red Cross volunteer because she wanted to give back to others. Eleanor, age 93, has dedicated over 50 years of service to the American Red Cross and currently volunteers at the Wayne/Pike Chapter. Described by Jim Rienhardt, Executive Director of the Wayne/Pike Chapters, as the “energizer bunny”, she constantly looks for opportunities to help and ways for improvement. She serves as a role model and inspiration for Red Cross staff and volunteers alike.
