Fostoria Family Receiving Red Cross Aid After House Fire

American Red Cross disaster responders were on the scene of a single family house fire in Fostoria on Sunday evening, providing aid and comfort to a family driven from their home. Red Cross volunteer Steve Switzer and Fostoria/Seneca County Red Cross Director David Conley responded to the call for help on Eisenhower Drive late Sunday evening. After assessing the family’s immediate needs, the Red Cross provided hotel accommodations for the two adults, assistance for food and clothing and comfort kits of personal hygiene items.

The Red Cross will continue to aid the family as needed and provide information and resources for their long term recovery planning.
