Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 5-8:00pm. Cooper’s Commons 159 Main Street, Agawam will host a Girls’ Night Out event that will benefit the American Red Cross Disaster Relief, while spotlighting unique local businesses. “The merchants of the Cooper's Commons marketplace invite you to come be pampered for a great cause, and to help the American Red Cross Disaster Relief do the good work they do for all of our friends across the country.” states Kate Gourde, owner of Cooper’s Commons.
For only a $5 donation, each guest shall enjoy special shopping bonuses in Chasam Boutique, Sweet September Baby & Children's Boutique and Cooper's Gifts, Curtains & Furnishings. Wine, cheese and crackers, and samples of Stonewall Kitchen drink mixers will be offered in Cooper’s, as well. In addition, guests will be treated to complimentary flowers from Floral Concepts by Tom, hair up-do's from Shear Techniques, nail polish changes at The Skin Salon, and chair massages at The Massage Haven.
Squire’s Bistro will offer free entertainment for the evening. “Ladies are welcome to bring their favorite wine or cocktails to enjoy in the Bistro while they are treated to the talents of Pat Tobin, legendary Frank Sinatra Tribute singer.” states Fred Withee, owner of Squire’s Bistro.
Guests are also invited to complete a Scavenger Hunt throughout the Cooper's Commons campus. Various prizes will be awarded, including donations from LHQ Danceforce and all of the Cooper's Common businesses.
There will also be an opportunity to bring home a souvenir. "Girlfriend portraits to capture the memories of this special night will be available by Photography by Paula. Paula Tingley will lend her talents so that you and your friend(s) can have a keepsake that celebrates the special bond that women share as girlfriends." said Kate.
"We are looking forward to a wonderful night of pampering, shopping and fun; all for a terrific cause. The American Red Cross Disaster Services does so much for anyone in need any where in our country. One never knows when they themselves will need the services of this amazing organization. We are proud to help them. Don’t miss it, all your friends will be here!" said Kate.
Guests can help out the local disaster relief for victims of many recent fires. The Red Cross supplies fire victims with Comfort Kits, and they are in need of donations to prepare the kits. A collection will be taken up at Girls' Night Out for new items; including combs, toothbrushes and paste, disposable razors, travel sized deodorants and personal-sized facial tissue packs.
Tickets are available in advance at either Squire’s Bistro, or Cooper’s Gifts & Curtains. Tickets are also available at the door the night of the event.
Look for the landmark red, historic building with the white horse and carriage out front. The former Country Squire Furniture building has been completely renovated and subdivided with many specialty shops and services. Together with the barn out back, the two buildings comprise Cooper's Commons; offering 10 businesses as a one-stop shopping destination. Visit www.cooperscommons.com for more on Cooper's Commons.
