The Red Cross Greater Lehigh Valley Chapter held it’s annual Awards Celebration and Annual Meeting last evening at The Fowler Blast Furnace Room at Steelstacks in Bethlehem. The following awards were presented:
Clara Barton Honor Award for Meritorious Volunteer Leadership
Certificate of Appreciation in Recognition of Outstanding Generosity
Good Neighbor Award
Allentown Health Bureau
Bethlehem Health Bureau
Lehigh County Emergency Managements
Special Citation for Exceptional Volunteer Service
Exceptional Partnership Award
The Salvation Army
Outgoing and incoming board members were also recognized. Additionally, author and founder of Baldwin’s Hardware, Severin Fayerman was a featured guest speaker. Fayerman gave a detailed account of the hardships he faced while imprisoned in Nazi concentration camps during WWII. He chronicled his personal history in a short memoir called, A Survivor’s Story.
