It's Tax Time and You Can Write in for the Red

Tax assistance

Did you know you can help disaster victims when you complete your Idaho Individual Income Tax Form?

When Idahoans experience disasters such as house fires, wild fires, floods, freezing or snow emergencies, the American Red Cross of Greater Idaho is there responding to their immediate needs. Last year your Idaho Red Cross responded to nearly 200 disasters and helped more than 400 individuals recover from house and apartment fires, flooding, wild fires, and more.

In addition to these disaster services, our response and relief programs provide free disaster education materials and information to families, businesses, schools and communities; provide emergency communications and deployment support for military members and their families; help families find relatives with whom they've lost contact with due to international disasters, war or internal conflict; and provide life-saving skill training in CPR, first aid and other health education courses so people and communities can lead safer, healthier lives.

The Write-in for the Red Campaign is designed to allow Idaho Individual Income Tax filers to donate directly to the Idaho Red Cross Relief Services out of their tax refund. Individuals write in their donation amount on Line 37 of the Idaho Individual Income Tax Form.

Your fellow Idahoans who will need these relief and response services in 2013 urgently need your help. Please help us help them by making a donation to the Idaho Red Cross Relief Fund through the Write-in for the Red Campaign.
