Sixteen people stayed in the shelter set-up by the Red Cross in Jerome last night. Ten more individuals have signed up to stay tonight, bringing the total to 26, which represent 8 family units.
The Salvation Army continues to feed the victims and welcomes any donations made from local restaurants with commercial kitchens. They are unable to take food that has been made in individuals’ homes. They are able to take pre-packaged snacks that have not been opened.
If the community has clothing, shoes, furniture and other household items to donate, please take them to the Idaho Youth Ranch or DI Thrift Stores. Both organizations have agreed to collect donations and give them free of charge to the disaster victims.
