More Valley Restaurants are Joining Red Cross Dining for Dollars

Red Cross Dining for Dollars
“Five restaurants participating in one month, on one day is a record for our program.” - Rachelle Gayl, Director of Development, San Gabriel Valley Chapter

On Wednesday, April 24, San Gabriel Pomona Valley residents will enjoy their monthly opportunity to dine and save a life at the same time. Anyone eating at five popular restaurants in the valley between 3PM and 9PM will be part of the Dining for Dollars program. On a prearranged date, restaurants donate at least 15% of their proceeds to the American Red Cross.

The Red Cross San Gabriel Pomona Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross has been offering this winning combo meal every month since July 2012, and this April demonstrates how popular this fund-raising incentive is becoming with local eating establishments when five area restaurants will participate in the Dining for Dollars.

Two Shakers, one in Pasadena and one in Glendale, join the Canoe House and Central Park in Pasadena and the Diner on Main in Alhambra. Proceeds from all five restaurants, including both dine-in and take-out, will be donated to support the Red Cross in the San Gabriel Valley area.

“Word is definitely getting out about this fun way of fund-raising,” says Rachelle Gayl, Director of Development for the San Gabriel Valley chapter. “Five restaurants participating in one month, on one day is a record for our program. We are so very grateful to have these businesses interested in giving us their support.”
