Multi-Agency Resource Center Open for Tornado Survivors

Providing a “one-stop shop” for recovery resources available to people affected by the tornadoes and storms in South Georgia.

Multiple local and State agencies, as well as human service organizations, will be available to answer questions and provide disaster-related assistance and information.

Date: Thursday, Feb. 2 - Saturday, Feb. 4 (dates may be extended, as needed)

Time: Thurs. & Fri. 9am – 7pm; Sat. 9am-5pm

Location: 2602 Dawson Road, Albany

Red Cross Spokesperson available for media interviews Thursday 9-11am and 3-6pm

Resources will be available through state and local partners such as the American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Tzu Chi, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Economic Development Authority and more.

Childcare and snacks will be provided. Other services will include:

  • Connecting people with existing social service programs for long-term recovery
  • Assistance filling out forms & paperwork for insurance claims
  • Help with locating new housing
  • Health and mental health services
