New AmeriCorps Members Sought For American Red Cross In Arkansas

"AmeriCorps Members provide a valuable and energetic addition to our Red Cross Disaster Workers, helping to increase the number of trained and educated Arkansans prepared for the unexpected." -Roger Elliot, State Disaster Director

AmeriCorps engages more than 80,000 Americans in intensive service each year at nonprofits, schools, public agencies, and community and faith-based groups across the country. You’re invited to provide community service with the American Red Cross in Arkansas as part of AmeriCorps’ Prevent, Prepare and Respond program.

Selected individuals will receive Red Cross training and skills to provide critical community outreach and disaster education on behalf of the Red Cross. Learned skills will benefit the communities you serve, as well as enhance your personal and professional development for future opportunities. AmeriCorps is not just a job; it’s a chance to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Full-time AmeriCorps State members are given a living allowance; health care; childcare, if you qualify; and become eligible for the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award upon successful completion of the program.
