Project Hero Hosted by Red Cross of Greater Kalamazoo

The Red Cross of Greater Kalamazoo invites the community to the first “Project Hero: Inspiring Your Inner Abilities” on Saturday, March 23, 2013. The brand new event runs from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m at the Kalamazoo Chapter.

Creating heroes, where no cape is required, is possible when everyday citizens receive knowledge on responding to an emergency, saving a life, and getting involved.

Events within Project Hero include:

  • Appearances by McGruff the Crime Dog and Scrubby Bear
  • Opportunities to talk with a variety of local emergency responders
  • Hearing from Hurricane Sandy Volunteers
  • Learning life-saving skills
  • Lots of free activities for kids and adults
  • Project Hero is a free event that is open to the general public.
