You may not recognize them by shining metals or flowing capes, but heroes walk among us every day. They are in our schools working long hours to ensure that our children receive the best education possible; they are members of our protective forces running into a burning building for a rescue even when they are off duty; they are our doctors and nurses that go above and beyond the call of duty to save lives. They are our friends, neighbors, colleagues, and service members who choose every day to make a difference in the lives of others.
A nominating committee made up of members from the community selected the following Heroes:
Enduring Hero: Bill Howard, President, Beverly Cooperative Bank, resident of Beverly
