Comitis Crises Center to Provide Temporary Housing

 Denver, 2 p.m., Thursday, Sep. 24, 2015 – The American Red Cross has closed the emergency shelter that was temporarily housing residents displaced by the Country Club Villas apartment fire that occurred Wednesday, Sep 6. Those residents that were still in need of temporary housing have been moved to the Comitis Crises Center in Aurora. The center is located at:

Red Cross caseworkers have worked with residents who have specific emergency needs. That process will continue and anyone needing additional Red Cross support can call the Mile High Chapter office at (303) 722-7474 (Select option2 and then Option 1 to schedule an appointment).


"We will continue to provide support for those displaced by the Country Club Villas fire on an as-needed basis,” said Jessica Pate, disaster program specialist for the Red Cross Mile High Chapter. "We have been working with each person or family to help them find resources to help recover from this fire.”
