Red Cross Helping 10 People After Winsted Fire
Five adults and five children have a safe place to stay and help with clothing and food needs thanks to the Red Cross.

WINSTED, CONN. – The American Red Cross is helping five adults and five children in two families after a fire Sunday, April 21, in Winsted on Thibault Avenue.

The Red Cross providing help with emergency housing, food and clothing needs. The Red Cross provided stuffed toys for the children.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.

American Red Cross disaster assistance is free of charge, a gift made possible by generous donations and the work of volunteers.
