A Red Cross mobile feeding unit is en route to provide food and hydration.

The Red Cross is helping dozens of people evacuated from a 40-unit apartment fire on the 8000 block of 12th Ave S. in Bloomington Sunday morning. A Red Cross mobile feeding unit is en route to provide food and hydration and Red Cross volunteers are supporting families during this crisis and helping them determine next steps.

The Northern Minnesota Region of the American Red Cross responds to more than a disaster a day. Red Cross disaster relief includes emergency housing, food, clothing, medicine and medical supplies, eyeglasses, health services, and disaster counseling. Financial relief is typically used by clients at local businesses, thus pumping charitable contributions back into the communities we serve.

The Red Cross depends on the generous support of the American public to assist people affected by disasters. If you would like to help, please consider making a donation today by visiting, calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or texting the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
