Red Cross Helping Seven People After Central Falls Fire


CENTRAL FALLS, RI, SATURDAY, JULY 27, 2013 - The Red Cross is helping two adults and five children in two families after a fire this morning on Lincoln Avenue in Central Falls. The Red Cross is providing help with emergency housing and food needs to one adult and three children and providing help with emergency food needs to one adult and two children. The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire. The children were provided stuffed toys. A third family was not at the scene. The Red Cross remains available to assist them with emergency related needs. American Red Cross disaster assistance is free of charge, a gift made possible by generous donations and the work of volunteers.
