Red Cross Helps Findlay Family After Home Fire

A Findlay family that lost their home to fire has a place to stay and food to eat thanks to the American Red Cross. The family of four, two adults and two children were driven from their Morse Street home by the blaze early Saturday morning.

Hancock County Red Cross Disaster Action Team volunteers Ron Pahl and Vicky Ginter responded to the call for help, quickly assessed the family’s immediate needs and provided assistance. Along with help for food and shelter, the Red Cross provided comfort kits with personal hygiene items and stuffed animals for the children. The Red Cross will continue to work with the family to provide further aid as necessary and information and resources for the long term recovery.

All Red Cross disaster relief is provided free of charge, thanks to the generosity of the American people. If you’d like to make a donation to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, visit redcross.org/hancock, call 800 - RED CROSS or text “REDCROSS” to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
