Disaster Health and Mental Health Training institute Scheduled for Dec. 13, 2014
Denver, CO, Dec. 4, 2014 – The American Red Cross is seeking licensed health and mental health professionals from throughout Colorado and Wyoming to volunteer with the Red Cross in response to home fires and other disasters. Taking care of the health and mental health of evacuees and disaster survivors is a vital part of every Red Cross disaster response, and the Red Cross relies on a corps of highly trained, licensed professionals to deliver these services when disasters strike.
Potential volunteers are encouraged to attend a special Red Cross Disaster Health and Mental Health Services Training Institute December13 in Denver, where they will receive the information and training they need to start helping their local communities as part of the Red Cross team.

• When: Dec.13, 2014 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (lunch is provided)
• No prior Red Cross experience is needed, however to be a Red Cross volunteer for Disaster Health or Mental Health services you must have an active, unencumbered, and unrestricted state license as a health or mental health professional. Volunteers must also complete an application that includes a background check.
