After communicating with area emergency management officials, the American Red Cross is closing the shelter at the Silver Creek Assembly of God. Residents displaced by flooding in the Sunset Bay area are expected to be able to return to their homes shortly. A shelter at St. John’s Lutheran Church in West Seneca was closed at approximately 11:30pm Friday. Red Cross officials remain in contact with emergency managers from across the region and remain ready to respond further if necessary.

The American Red Cross thanks St. John’s Lutheran Church, the Silver Creek Assembly of God, and all of the Red Cross volunteers and supporters who helped respond to this incident.
