KNOXVILLE, TN – Saturday, October 27, 2012 – The American Red Cross will deploy its Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) to Ashburn, VA today to assist with feeding and distributing supplies in areas affected by Hurricane Sandy. The volunteers will meet at 1:00 p.m. at the Red Cross Office, 6921 Middlebrook Pike in Knoxville to be deployed along with the ERV for a minimum of two weeks. An additional local volunteer will fly to New York today to join the relief effort with others yet to be assigned.
