MUSKEGON, Mich. – The American Red Cross Muskegon, Oceana and Newaygo Counties is holding its 22nd Annual Golf Outing on Friday, May 17, at Lincoln Golf Club. The scramble format will have two shotgun starts, at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
The fee for this fundraising event is $90 per golfer and includes green fees, carts, continental breakfast, lunch and course snacks. Proceeds from the event will be used by the Red Cross to help families in Muskegon, Oceana and Newaygo counties prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
This fundraiser has three major sponsors: Eagle Alloy, Inc., Noble Company, and Quality Tool & Stamping.
“The Red Cross outing has traditionally been one of the first outings of the year and is not only a great day of golf, but it supports a great organization,” says Golf Day Chair, David Kendall.
“This year we are excited to have our tournament at Lincoln Golf Club where former North Muskegon star golfer, Colby Beckstrom, is now the golf professional,” says Anne Wheeler, Red Cross Events Manager. “Colby will offer a “short-game clinic” 30 minutes prior to each shotgun start. Golfers will have the chance to pick up a few pointers from the professional.”
Prizes will be awarded to winning teams. There will be course contests for both men and women. Breakfast and lunch from the grill will be provided for all participants.
