It was a special day in Faneuil Hall last week, as people from all over came together for Yom HaShoah.
International Services of the American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts co-sponsored the April 7 event, which paid tribute to those lost in the Holocaust during the Community Holocaust Commemoration of Yom HaShoah.
The Red Cross was able to transport three buses of community youths to the event, which this year honored the strength and resiliency that enabled individuals to survive and rebuild their lives.
Holocaust survivor Daisy Brand, whom the Red Cross once helped, spoke during the ceremony. The event was hosted by the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston, and co-sponsored by several other groups.
