On May 8, your American Red Cross Chapter will join hundreds of American Red Cross chapters throughout the United States and 185 other Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies around the world in celebrating World Red Cross Day.
This historic day is celebrated each year, in honor of Henry Dunant, who founded the International Red Cross Red Crescent Movement 150 years ago in 1863.
World Red Cross Day celebrates the work of those who volunteer with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
The RCRC mission is to: To improve the lives of vulnerable people by mobilizing the power of humanity and to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance.
Thank you for being at our side to support our fundamental mission!
