The American Red Cross is partnering with Toyota Drive Center to receive financial donations through “Drive for a Cause” events in communities all around the country.
The campaign provides a firsthand opportunity for consumers to learn about Toyota’s quality, safety and reliability, while supporting the work of select charities including the American Red Cross, AMVETS and National Park Foundation.
At events, participants test-drive Toyota vehicles on public streets or specially-built courses, accompanied by a professional driver. In this no-pressure environment, consumers are given an exclusive opportunity to pose questions to onsite Toyota experts, and learn about new Toyota products and the latest technology.
DONATIONS MADE TO CHARITIES Each participant who completes the program will have the opportunity to select a charity they wish to support. Toyota will make a $1 contribution to the charity on the customer’s behalf.
“Toyota’s partnership and support of our programs and services through ‘Drive for a Cause’ makes a difference for those who rely on the Red Cross in disasters and other emergencies,” said Neal Litvack, Chief Development Officer for the American Red Cross.
EVENT DATES AND LOCATIONS “Drive for a Cause” launched in late July of this year and events are scheduled through March 2013 in locations where consumers live and play—retail locations, auto shows, festivals, sporting competitions and more. Dates and locations are posted on the Toyota Drive Center Facebook page.
To date, Toyota has donated $595 million to philanthropic organizations and is a loyal partner with the Red Cross.
