Wescom Credit Union WeCare Foundation has raised over $33,000 for the American Red Cross disaster relief efforts for Superstorm Sandy relief. With the generous support of partners like the Wescom Credit Union WeCare Foundation, the Red Cross will be able to provide food, shelter, emotional support, and other assistance to the thousands still in need.
"We are pleased to make a donation on behalf of Wescom Credit Union to the American Red Cross San Gabriel Valley Pomona Chapter. Our contribution is on behalf of donations made by Wescom members," WeCare Board Chairperson Carlo Galioto said. "It is WeCare's mission to identify and help people and organizations in need through charitable giving.”
WeCare was founded by the employees of Wescom Credit Union in 1999 as a charitable, not-for-profit organization. Its mission is to help people in need through volunteerism and employee payroll deductions, which are matched dollar-for-dollar by the credit union.
