This is the second year that PG&E has sponsored the Ready Neighborhoods program in the American Red Cross Monterey Bay Area Chapter. Ready Neighborhoods promotes disaster preparedness and includes outreach to the community with free classes and materials available in English and Spanish. We have already reached over 10,000 families in Monterey and San Benito Counties with the message of disaster preparedness. PG&E’s generous gift makes this valuable community safety program possible.
Please join both Red Cross and PG&E on July 2nd at 2:30 p.m. at the Carmel Foundation (8th Ave. and Dolores Street in Carmel) for a joint workshop about disaster preparedness and safety. This lecture is free and open to the public.
If you are interested in arranging a free disaster preparedness class for adults or children please contact Wanda Vollmer at (831) 626-5255 or Wanda.Vollmer@redcross.org.
