FARMINGTON, CONN., July 17, 2013 - The American Red Cross is helping 13 people after Tuesday fires in New Haven and Bethel.
The Red Cross is helping 12 people - seven adults and five children in four families - after a New Haven Fire Tuesday afternoon on Ella Grasso Boulevard.
The Red Cross is providing one adult with help for emergency housing, food and clothing needs after a fire on Plumtrees Road in Bethel on Tuesday evening.
The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.
