Red Cross Helping Family of Four After Tuesday Fire in Stamford

The Red Cross is helping with emergency housing needs.

STAMFORD, CONN., OCTOBER 23, 2013 – The American Red Cross is helping a family of four – two adults and two children – with emergency housing needs after a fire Tuesday on Leon Place in Stamford.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.  The children were provided stuffed toys.

American Red Cross disaster assistance is free of charge, a gift made possible by generous donations and the work of volunteers.
