The Red Cross is helping with emergency food and clothing needs.

THOMPSON, CONN., December 29, 2013 – The American Red Cross is helping a family of four adults with emergency food and clothing needs after a fire today on Pasay Drive in Thompson. The family was able to make alternate housing arrangements. Red Cross volunteers William Poirier, Eldon Griffiths and Dawn Poirier responded to assist the family.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.
