Red Cross Helps Family of Four After Milford Fire

The Red Cross is helping with emergency housing, food and clothing needs.

MILFORD, CONN., October 30, 2014 – The American Red Cross is helping a family of two adults and two children after a fire today on Greenview Lane in Milford. The Red Cross is providing help with emergency housing, food and clothing needs, as well as providing stuffed animal toys for the displaced children.

Red Cross volunteers Missy Lundeen and Scott Somerville responded to assist the family.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.

American Red Cross disaster assistance is free of charge, a gift made possible by generous donations and the work of volunteers.
