Red Cross Clubs from the American Red Cross of the Greater Chesapeake Region are teaming up to host a fundraising and awareness Carnival on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Columbia, MD, next to Clyde's of Columbia on the Lakefront.
Students from Atholton High School, Centennial High School, Dulaney High School, Frederick High School, Glen Burnie High School, Marriotts Ridge High School, Severn High School, University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and Urbana High School will run carnival games and hand out materials to educate the public about the American Red Cross, how to make a disaster kit, staying safe during emergencies, and volunteering with the organization.
The event is open to the public and family friendly. Games can be played for a small donation, with all proceeds benefit the American Red Cross of the Greater Chesapeake Region. There will also be live music and a bake sale.
