The kind, courageous and selfless deeds of these heroes are directly linked to the Red Cross mission

The Hawaii State Chapter of the American Red Cross is honoring its Heroes of the Year during March for Red Cross Month.  The kind, courageous, and selfless deeds of these heroes are directly linked to the Red Cross mission of preventing and alleviating human suffering.  These inspiring individuals demonstrate that inside each human being is a hero, ready to step up to the plate and assist those in need.  These are our “heroes.”

Among our dedicated Red Cross volunteers, we celebrate these individuals picked as Volunteers of the Year:

•  Jan Kealoha (Oahu)

•  Kenneth Cutting (East Hawaii)

•  Phillip Fernandez (West Hawaii)

•  Rebecca King (Maui County)

•  Michele Molineaux (Kauai)

Our community heroes this year include:

•  Nicholas Garcia (Lifesaver Hero)

•  Jeremy W. Carroll (In the Line of Duty Heroes)

•  Chelsey Anne Dungca (Youth Hero)

•  Daniel Suzuki (Animal Hero)

•  Dion Couch (Military Hero)
