Hawaii Red Cross Assists Individual Affected by Disabled Boat

Red Cross provided assistance ranging from temporary housing, clothing, transportation and food.

Volunteers with the Hawaii Red Cross responded to the disabled boating incident that occurred in Laie earlier today.  Oahu Red Cross disaster volunteers met with the affected individual to ensure that immediate emergency needs were met and provided assistance ranging from temporary housing, clothing, transportation, food and groceries. Caseworkers will continue to follow up with anyone affected in the coming weeks to provide referrals, guidance or additional assistance as needed to help with the recovery process.
