March is Red Cross Month Poster Contest

Contest Rules: 

The poster must be on 8 ½ X 14 paper (legal size.)

The student’s name, age, school (organization,) home telephone number and address must be included on the back of the poster. 

Students must live in one of the following counties to be eligible: Buena Vista (IA), Cherokee (IA), Clay (IA), Dickinson (IA), Emmet (IA), Ida (IA), Kossuth (IA), Lyon (IA), Monona (IA), O’Brien (IA), Osceola (IA), Palo Alto (IA), Plymouth (IA), Sac (IA) Sioux (IA), Woodbury (IA), Dakota (NE) or Union (SD). 

Posters created using marker, crayon, colored pencil or paint will be accepted. 

The poster must contain the theme, “Be Red Cross Ready,” the American Red Cross name, symbol or logo. 

Please design your poster horizontally. 

Poster entries must be returned to the Red Cross Office(4200 War Eagle Drive, Sioux City, IA 51109) by February 28, 2014 to be considered for prizes.

Posters should be colorful, eye catching, and show one main theme. 

Judges will award prizes for 1st place and four honorable mentions in four grade categories, K - 2nd, 3rd - 5th, 6th - 8th and 9th - 12th. 

The winners will have a choice of attending one of two receptions held in South Sioux City, NE (March 27) or Spencer, IA (April 1.)

Posters will not be returned to the schools at the end of the event.
