Red Cross Assists Two Central IL Families Last Weekend

Red Cross Responding to a Home Fire
Volunteers provided for the family's needs including food and shelter.

Around 1pm on Saturday, August 24, the Red Cross met with two clients whose trailer in rural Rushville, IL caught fire on on Thursday, August 22. The Red Cross was in contact with the clients at the time of the fire, but per the request of the clients, an in-person meeting was delayed. Volunteers provided for the family's needs including food and shelter.

On Sunday, August 25, volunteers responded to an early morning fire that occurred around 12:30am on Martin Street in Topeka. The Red Cross provided the one resident with their emergency needs including food and clothing.
