The American Red Cross Illinois Capital Area Chapter provided emergency assistance to a family after a fire damaged a home in Pana, Illinois.

The fire occurred on Sunday, August 4, 2013, at 2:56 a.m. in Pana, Illinois. The American Red Cross provided emergency financial assistance to the affected client to be used for food, clothing and accommodations.

The community can help those affected by future disasters by volunteering with the American Red Cross and/or making a contribution to American Red Cross Local Disaster Relief.
