Song Celebrates Meaning of Thanksgiving and Benefits Red Cross

Indy - 11/13/14 - Song Celebrates Meaning of Thanksgiving and Benefits Red Cross
'Thanks Giving Day' celebrates everyday heroes who come to the aid of others in times of need.

On Thursday, November 13th a new song debuted on Fort Wayne, Indiana radio stations. The song, “Thanks Giving Day,” is co-written and produced by Mike Ross, Senior VP of Marketing at Sweetwater Sound, a Fort Wayne-based retailer of musical instruments and recording equipment. “Thanks Giving Day” celebrates everyday heroes who come to the aid of others in times of need. After Ross produced a demo of the song, he played the song for representatives of the American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana and Adams Radio Group, which owns broadcast stations throughout the region. Ross then recruited popular local country artists Maude-Jo Baczysnki, Mike Baczynski and Angela Baczynski (sister, brother and mom) of the local country band Breaking Tradition to record the vocals.

The song will air November 13th through Thanksgiving Day on U.S. 93.3 FM and Great Country 103.3 FM in Fort Wayne. Each time the song plays, the radio stations air a prerecorded testimonial from a listener who wants to thank someone who helped them in their lives. The announcer then urges listeners to “pay it forward” with a donation of time, money and/or blood to the American Red Cross. People can also purchase the song from the Thanks Giving Day website. All proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana.
