September is National Preparedness Month, and the American Red Cross encourages families to develop an emergency plan to be ready for the next emergency or disaster.

September is National Preparedness Month, and the American Red Cross encourages families to develop an emergency plan to be ready for the next emergency or disaster. The Red Cross would like to help you get started at our 8th Annual Preparedness Fair.

Who: Area residents of all ages, especially families with children

What: 8th Annual American Red Cross Preparedness Fair

When: Tuesday, September 16, 6 – 8 p.m.

Where: Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds, 1010 Teal Road, Lafayette 47905

Why: Participants include Tipmont REMC, Indiana State Police, TEAS, DARE, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Tippecanoe County Health Department, Lafayette Fire Department, Kathryn Weil Center, County Fire Association, Salvation Army, Almost Home Humane Society, TEMA, State Farm, Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office, and the Red Cross.
