ROCKY MOUNT, NC, Oct. 22, 2015 — The American Red Cross has a special event planned to celebrate those currently serving in the Armed Forces.
The annual Holiday Mail for Heroes event is scheduled to take place at the Woods Auditorium on Seymour Johnson Airforce base on Friday, Nov. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“The Holiday Mail for Heroes campaign is designed for the community and base to come together to sign holiday cards for those who have or are currently serving in the Armed Forces,” said Joshua Cain, Director of Service to the Armed Forces for the American Red Cross. “It is a great way to celebrate those in the service, overseas.”
Cards will be distributed veterans and active service members deployed outside the United States.
The event will also feature members of the 4th fighter wing and the 9/16th refueling wing (reservists).
*Access to this event at the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base can be gained by contacting Garrett Hamm, Manager of Service to the Armed Forces: 919-722-2323 or email@example.com.
