Elissa Goldman is a volunteer with the American Red Cross Boston Food Pantry, and gives nutritional guidance to staff and clients. What started as a graduate-studies internship in 2011 has turned into a long-term volunteer opportunity the feeds people and the soul.
Elissa works with the staff to coordinate recipes and menu items for the differing range of foods the pantry provides to clients. From chicken and fish to lettuce and chard, Elissa helps clients get the most out of what’s on the menu, for the sake of flavor and nutrition.
